University of Tampere will be the new academic partner with Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in the near Future
On July 5th the Rector of University of Tampere, Dr. Liisa Laakso had a meeting with the Chancellor of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Ali Asghar Peyvandi at the Chancellor's office.
In this meeting Dr. Afshin Zarghi, Vice-Chancellor of Research Affairs, Dr. Pooneh Dehghan, Director of International Affairs and Dr. Amir Ali Mafi, International Advisor of the university accompanied the Chancellor.
At the beginning of the meeting Dr. Peyvandi welcomed Dr. Laakso to our university and stressed on further international collaboration between the two universities. Furthermore, Dr. Zarghi talked about the scientific and research capacity and capabilities of the university for further collaboration between the two counterparts. Dr. Laakso also stressed on future international collaboration between the two universities at various fields. At the end of the meeting it was decided that an MOU will be prepared and signed in the near future.
University of Tampere is the second university in Finland with 15,400 students, which was established in 1925. This university has nine schools, which the school of medicine is the biggest among others
